RIDE INTO THE NEW YEAR!          2008

NEW (RIDING TO BE DONE INSIDE ONLY)

Well, I am happy to report that we survived the New Year 2008 "ride-a-thon!"  We had a GREAT time and, believe it or not, the children we so wonderful.  We did not have a single moments displeasure from any of them.  They wore smiles all night long.  Again, I have to say that we are truly blessed to have such wonderful, kind caring people that show up here!

SO! Here are the photos! From 2008 RIDE INTO THE NEW YEAR:) !!

We were treated to wonderful HOMEMADE Pizza from one of our cherished clients, so we ate that first ~ too yummy to think of taking pictures...then we played indoor games...at around 10:00p.m. it was time to "suit up" to go outside and get ready for the New Year...

FINALLYY_1_1.jpgThen....FINALLY!!!  one..by...one...they all...fell asleep!:))

NyB_3_1.jpg But it wasn't over yet...we still needed a pancake breakfast the next morning!  They all ate really well! Good kids!  The "Big Kids" ate in the other room at the "little table" just be ironic. haha

waithome_9_1.jpg Last but not least...was the wait for mom and dad to come pick them up...our loyal dog "Blazer" helped set the tone by laying down in an exhausted manner on the nearest cushion:)  We called the three boys on the couch  "Hear No Evil, See No Evil, and Speak No Evil" hahaha

We can't wait for next years New Years Eve Barn Party it was a BLAST!

Thanks to everyone who helped to make it happen, Pizza makers, Mom's that stayed late, the well behaved children, older siblings, my ever faithful assistant, and of course God.

Last January our show was held January 27th 2007, to help defeat those winter blues and remind our students (adults and children alike) how much fun it is to just ride and show off to everyone how much progress has been made through out the year!

Hot Chocolate and Chili was served through out and a great time was had by all.

MoonWind Stables Kid Camp!

Every year before school starts we like to have a "Last Hurrah" sooo, this year, we held a week long kid camp.

tye

We had a "Craft time" every day.  On this day we did Tye Dye!

Every day we followed the same schedule:

The children arrived @ 8:00a.m. (most of them, a few came early due to work schedules) and left @ 5:00p.m. Monday threw Friday for one week.  During that week...

They....did it all!

pool_4_1.JPG

Time to cool off! We had water play time every day.  Sometimes it was water tag, sometimes water balloons, sometimes the "pool"

Believe me, we needed it, I think we chose the hottest week of summer to have camp!:)

lunch_11_1.JPG

Each day we had lunch @ 11:30a.m.

We watched t.v. while we ate.  (A children's "horsey" movie of course:)

LOTS of snacks and LOTS of drinking water provided through out the hot days as well.

On the final day of camp, the children had their own miniature horse show.

Parents and Grandparents gathered from all around to watch and see what new horsey skills their favorite child had learned during the week!

Here you see the girls getting their camp horses all dolled up for the show.

His mane has to be just right for the big show!

The children were given ribbons, rubber bands, sparkle spray, glitter glue and the right to decorate their camp horse any way they liked:)

You know what kids can do with glitter!!!

spray

The children spray painted all of their camp horses hooves golden before the  spectators arrived!

Talk about "Painted Ponies!"

Okay, this is what we have all been waiting for!  Here they are! This was everyone's favorite part!  Seeing all their hard work come to fruit!

I HAVE more pics of the show ~ but they refuse to upload!  I have children checking my site daily so they can see themselves on their camp horses...wish me luck....

The

After the show we had a cookout and everyone went home with a full tummy, grimmy hands, wet clothes and a smile on their faces!
