Melissa,
Just to let you know...picked up the kittens last night but with the
bad weather and traffic, did not make it home until after 1 am. So, I
am sending you this note now... They have arrived safely and are
adapting well to their new surroundings. We are enjoying them
immensely!
Enjoying them so much... My daughter saw them for the first time
last night and went crazy over them...Orpheus slept on her all night
long, lol.
Thank you!

Hi
Melissa
Tia is settling in fine everyone
loves her.
She sleeps with me
at night………..
I have some short
videos of Tia, if you would like me to send to you let me know.
I have been putting
the hard food out for her but she does not seem to eat much of it – she
is eating tinned pate cat food
same as I feed the
other cats.
Other cats are
acting a bit strange when they see her but Tia is not afraid of them
–she just raises her back and struts sideways and the older cats move
away.
She rubs noses with
Beverly our oldest cat. Beverly was wild when we got her but now have
decided it is better to be in the house all the time.

Katie-Bell
(Non-standard
(straight ears) Kinkalow Kitten) Our story starts with
Forever Kittens Cattery. I am fortunate
enough to be one of the few to watch the magic unfold at Forever
Kittens. Starting
with Magwai and “Teeny Keeny” A.K.A. Akina.
I knew that what I would witness
from that point on would be nothing short of a miracle.
I
must be honest with you… personally, it is a good day for me if a cat
and I can befriend each other. I
always thought that maybe it was a certain scent about me that just
irritates their race. Either way, I
was amazed that these cats in particular have no prejudice whatsoever
against my smells or myself. haha. From
the start the cats from Forever Kittens were all the most lovable
creatures I have encountered thus far. I had to have one :)
Which brings us to our Katie-bell ~ from the
moment we met her she was special. She was a big ball of chocolate love
and purrs. She is constantly giving us affection and we can’t get
enough. My husband actually gets jealous sometimes of Katie-bell and I,
because she has become my lil pocket best friend. Her favorite thing is to
sleep on my belly.
I
really got Katie-bell originally for a pal for my hubby due to the fact
that I have a big dog that is my baby.... but it turned out that
Katie-bell just wont pick favorites. She hangs out with her Daddy in the
mornings and shares us both in the afternoons, but when night falls she
doesn’t separate from me. It is a wonderful feeling to finally have a
kitty that I can love and appreciate. Katie-bell is also equipped with
more patience than i can grasp. Our dog puts her to the test each and
everyday, but Katie-bell never gets upset with her. I was kinda hoping she
would maybe just once tell her off and show her who can be boss, but I
just don’t think she has a mean bone in her body.
I
am so grateful to Melissa for providing us with our lil Katie-bell. She is
the icing on the cake for our lil family.
Sincerely,
Mr.
& Mrs. Madden

| Serabi (Highlander
Kitten)
Hello :)
Sorry it has take so long to reply, life is hectic at our place.
Serabi has grown to fit perfectly into our family. I can not believe
how awesome he is. Nothing seems to bother him. He loves all
the children and both of our dogs, even though one of them torments him
routinely! He loves to be carried and loved on by our children and
never puts up a fuss whatsoever. I can not imagine a better addition
to our family!
Serabi is still small but has tons of play in him. His eyes are
still blue and he is darkening around the edges but staying light through
the body. His ears are still about the same curl (not too curly but definitely
some curl to them). I want to thank you again for offering such a
great cat to our family. If all Highlanders are this awesome with
children then I can't imagine that the breed won't soon be the most
popular there is!
Thanks Again, The Whelchel Family

Tilly, non standard Kinkalow female Kitten.
Melissa,
Lilly is doing great. Duane has been calling Tilly, Lilly now. He said she
looks like a Lilly to him so now she is Lilly. She is such a sweetheart,
We love her like she is our child. Lilly has soooo much energy, I keep
telling her she needs to share some of that energy with me. ha ha
She is smart as a whip nothing gets un-noticed with her. She does of
course sleep in our bed on Duane's chest or on his head.
Garfield & Lilly are best buds now. She curls right up next to him for
her naps. At night they play the chasing game, it's so funny watching
them. I think she brought Garfield back to life.
One of these days I will send u some pics of them together, I promise. I
need to learn how to transfer them to my computer (I just need to take the
time to do it really) Procrastinator I think they call it.
Thanks Melissa for such a beautiful little girl.

Boo (non-standard (straight ears) Kinkalow Kitten) Hi Melissa! remember me? :) We bought our blue munchkin kitten Boo
(formerly Purrity) from you back in October. Well, I just thought I outta
update you on how he is doing!
Well, first of all, he's
such a ham! And very chubby, too. When we first brought him home, he was
so tiny we could fit him into our pocket. He's certainly grown into his
looks, but perhaps not his legs! haha. He loves our dog, Charlie, and
harasses him for hours on end (Charlie loves it). Our other cats strangely
accepted him immediately, and our persian Latte has assumed a very
paternal role. Boo is very affectionate and cuddly and everybody who
meets him falls in love with him. He can be a little snot at times, he's
obviously still a kitten and plays rough but we're fortunate that he
typically relays these actions on our dog! :P
Everytime I go to bed, he
gets up into the crook of my neck or on my chest and falls asleep there. I
don't think I've had a more loving pet than him. :) In fact, I plan on
getting another munchkin when I move out! A girl, definitely. You've made
this a very pleasant experience! Thanks for our little kitty-Boo.
Have a good Easter weekend.
Take care.
Chelsea Batman
Ps:
I've attached some pictures, as per request! They're quite large so it
might take some time to load.
Thanks!

Kinkalonian
Mythology
This
is our account of how the Kinkalow cats took their position as “pet” here on earth….
The
Kinkalows are a species as old as the center of the Earth. The Kinkalows
were once revered and held dominion over the center of the Earth. The
center of the Earth was known as Felix Felicis. (The Latin words for
"lucky, happy, or fortunate.") The Romans recognized the power
of the Kinkalows and based their language on that spoken by the Kinkalows.
They knew the Kinkalows were revered, therefore, only the elite Romans spoke
true Kinkalonian, the commoners spoke vector Latin.
*
Small tip~the Kinkalows now find it insulting to be named Felix*
But
this was all before Dogma happened. Dogma rose as a powerful dogtator
(dictator). Dogma's fur was as black as his heart and just as ragged. Un-soft
fur meant impurity to the Kinkalows. You will find that all Kinkalows
have soft fur. But the most unsavory quality of Dogma was his size; he was
huge. Since Felix Felicis was in the center of the earth it was a rather
small place, so all of its inhabitants were small. The smallest of all
were the Kinkalows. But the Kinkalows weren't small to conserve space;
they were small because they were the keepers of Luck, and as we all know Luck
is only good when it comes in small doses so it is appreciated.
After
Dogma took over they became even smaller because Luck was in short supply. And
then....their ears kinked. All cat species are descendants from the
ancient Kinkalows, but as you can see the common cats are taller, because
they do not hold Luck. More importantly the ears of a common cat are
straight. The Luck of the kinkalows entered and left through the tips of
their ears. When they were straight the Luck just ran off, like water off
of crystal. When the ears became kinked it meant that the Kinkalows
now had to choose when to dispense their Luck. (translation- Kinkalows....Kinked
ears; Low to the ground)
After
Dogma came to power no more Luck was made. Luck is a very hot
substance, which is why Kinkalows are always warm. When Dogma took over,
he enslaved the Kinkalows. He forced them to give their Luck to only him.
When a brave Kinkalow refused, Dogma milked it of all it's Luck. When
a Kinkalow dispensed all of its Luck it died. Dogma was a murderer.
But little did he know that the last drop of Luck a Kinkalow gives was the most
powerful. Dogma killed many Kinkalows, and so got many powerful drops of
Luck. But Dogma was evil and the Luck a Kinkalow gives is a gift, a pure
gift. Dogma corrupted the Luck. So the Luck turned bad. It
ravaged all of Felix Felicis, turning it to lava (remember-luck is hot) Dogma.
Though it destroyed Felix Felicis, its heat melted the cage the Kinkalows were
in, thus freeing them.
Seeing
that their beautiful city was merely a skeleton of its old splendor, and knowing
that the ghosts of their brave brothers would forever haunt them; they chose
to journey to a place no other Kinkalow had ever been. The outside of the
Earth. This is when the Kinkalows stopped speaking. Their grief over
their brothers and city was much to bear, therefore, they stopped speaking out
kindness to whomever lived Topside. They knew the story they could tell
were so horrible it would cause sadness to descend over the Topside. So
the final Kinakalows made a vow of silence, so that they would always remember
what had happened, and so that we would never have to. And in all their
ancient glory they trudged to our world.
The
Kinkalows never sought dominion over the Topside. Now the Kinkalows choose
their own master. If a human is Lucky enough to be chosen by a Kinkalow,
then that human must always be kind to the Kinkalow. Kinkalows can no
longer look at our hearts to see if we are good because they have found that all
humans hold evil within them. The only way a human can show that it is
pure is by being kind to all. But beware mere human, if a Kinkalow was
ever forced into servitude again then all the Kinkalows would disappear in a
puff of dust and our world will be ravaged by corrupted Luck, just as it
was all those years ago.
